Dr. David Cacanindin, OTD
davidcacanindin@braintreetherapies.com
David earned an Occupational Therapy Doctorate from Pacific University (Oregon) in 2018 and has since gained 8 years of experience with complex neurological disorders, traumatic injuries, behavioral health/addiction, developmental conditions and much more. After being hit by a semi truck while riding a bicycle in 2017, a brain injury closed David off from life – he couldn’t drive, walk down stairs, regulate his nervous system, be in a room with people, use electronic devices, or focus on a task for more than 2 minutes. Forever on a journey of recovery, David improved to be able to summit 30 mountains a year, referee ice hockey, support family and friends, and work in the ICU. After finding that there are almost no rehabilitation services available to neurological patients after leaving the hospital, David opened Brain Tree Therapies to help neurological patients across Washington progress from surviving to thriving.
David cares for his 99 year old grandmother, works as an ice hockey referee, climbs ~30 mountains per year, commutes by bicycle, and enjoys reading, rock climbing, sailing, yoga, and writing.
